VINTAGE AND UP-CYCLED FABRICS

Using vintage or up-cycled fabric makes your piece extra special, as there’s only a finite amount of bags that can be made from this particular material. It also means the fabric can be somewhat more delicate. Small irregularities, such as minor pulls or colour inconsistencies can occur in vintage fabrics, as these fabrics have lived a life before they’ve found their way to me. I do my best to avoid these when cutting, as much as I possibly can. Any small inconsistencies are not considered a fault, but a personality trait of using up-cycled or vintage fabrics and should be celebrated.

FRINGING

Bags with beaded or diamante fringing need to be worn with a little extra care. The fringing used is strong, but like anything of a delicate nature, it’s not indestructible.

CARE

  • Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this may permanently damage the fringing

  • Spot cleaning marks with a damp cloth or airing out is recommended over hand washing

  • However if really dirty, you can very gently hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent
